When you witness all the things mentioned above, it certainly puts things into perspective. When I was really involved with my Childhood Cancer volunteer group, I was constantly thinking "well, this just sucks but at least we aren't going through what I just visited at Scottish Rite". It was hard to be a part of, but that group really did remind me what was important and what was just plain trivial.
